When designing the Master Suite we wanted to create an elegant retreat. Vintage velvet chairs, blue linen upholstery and bits of blue and glass throughout mix perfectly with the rustic cypress ceilings, solid beams and warm paint colors.
I'm continuing the tour of 70 Seagrove Village Drive with 3 bedrooms and 1 really fun bunk room! When designing the Master Suite we wanted to create an elegant retreat. We included an intimate study just off of the bedroom, complete with custom pecky cypress built ins to complement the rustic vaulted ceilings. Vintage velvet chairs, blue linen upholstery and bits of blue and glass throughout mix perfectly with the rustic cypress ceilings, solid beams and warm paint colors. I just loved the Blue Bedroom. The pecky cypress headboard niche was the perfect thing to make this bedroom feel so custom and elegant. I especially love the mix of the gold sconces on the rustic, weathered wood. Here is a look at the downstairs bedroom. Classic blue and white toile and tons of natural light make this space such a pretty coastal style. I LOVE bunk rooms! For this great space I found the greatest Otomi pillows with a bright punch of color on top of a soft cabana stripe. We designed the diamond detail on the railing and built the back wall out of pecky cypress. A staircase between the bunks makes this space more polished and perfect for little little climbers.

Can you advise where you purchased the beautiful wall sconces from? I would love something like that for our bedroom! Thank you!!!

Old Seagrove Homes was created out of a chance meeting one summer night on a roof deck overlooking the beach in 2007. While Alex was already running a construction company, Cynthia had studied fine arts and design. Three children and many projects later, the couple knew that what had started out as a construction company, was quickly growing into something much more. Today, Alex and Cynthia Rice work together as a design team, building inspiring homes from conception to construction and custom finishes. Thanks for following along with us!
