Take a look at photos of our full remodel in Seagrove Beach. We took this house down to the studs and completely recreated this great beach home! The plans were drawn by Geoff Chick, landscaping by Chad Horton and we had the privilege of building it all, choosing the color palette, interior finishes, custom building the kitchen cabinets on site and designing the swimming pool. Not to mention a few other fun details like the custom cypress kitchen island, hood and bunk room. What a great project to be a part of!
The pool was custom designed with a large sun shelf at one end and fire pit and water feature at the other. We finished the edges of the pool with a thick glass tile in gorgeous shades of blue. We used coral stone for the pool decking. Once from ancient sea beds, coral stone is now mined inland and is full of fossils from ancient sea and plant life. It has a soft palette and is amazingly beautiful.
The kitchen counter tops are White Macaubus Quartzite. It is a beautiful surface that has the appearance of marble but has a much harder and more durable quality than granite, which means it won't scratch and stain like a marble counter will.
An otherwise small bedroom was transformed into a charming bunk room that now sleeps four and has additional storage built in under the beds.
We built a viewing tower off the back of the house with a three story staircase and outdoor living space on three floors. All of the decks are finished with Kumaru, a Brazilian rot resistant hardwood.
