This has been a big week for us. But then, it really seems like almost every morning we wake up and say, Wow. This is going to be a big week. But what made this week big was a little different from our usual milestones. This week, we changed our name. I've been feeling for awhile that our name just didn't suit us. As our kids have gotten older and Alex and I have gotten to spend a lot more time working together, our homes have changed. Really, they've grown. As have we. We find ourselves now truly doing what we love the most. Besides getting to work side by side every day, we now get to design every aspect of our homes from the ground up. The two of us have become your friendly neighborhood one stop shop. We have been designing our own plans, doing the construction, choosing every color, finish, texture and detail. We work up color sample after color sample until we get our palette just right. We've been designing kitchens, custom building our cabinets on site and working out detailed tile designs. We hand pick the plants for the landscaping, the stone for the outdoor entertaining areas and the tile for the swimming pool. And then of course, there's the cypress. Alex spends time at the mill, culling through logs and piles of wood until he finds just the right size, shape, color and texture. He has it milled to his specification, and then we hand select each piece of wood for every door, ceiling and wall. And then, when the last of the paint is dry, we furnish each and every room.
So, you see, just being a construction company wasn't who we are. And so, we have a new name.
I'm very pleased to introduce you to Old Seagrove Homes, the new home for our construction and interior design projects. It's very nice to meet you and we're so glad you stopped by.
