We recently finished the Hickory Street cottage in Seagrove Beach. The kitchen, living and dining area are all open to each other so, I wanted each area to be separate but cohesive with the whole. I kept the color palette simple by primarily using navy, gold, white and gray with little pops of accent colors throughout. I love how the navy island pulls the whole space together and looks so beautiful with with gold pendants and hardware. The whole vibe of the space is open, airy and casually elegant- a place equally suited to entertaing after a day at the beach or lounging around barefoot and in bathing suits. This home was built not only to be a vacation home for the owners but also as a rental home during the major seasons. To keep everything looking great but also functional, all of the furniture is slip covered in washable fabrics. It all looks fabulous but is also practical for the owners. The pillows add great color and pattern by complementing the blue color palette. The fabulous painting you see above the bar is by the local artist Allison Wickey.

This kitchen is stunning! Do you post your resources anywhere? I would love to know the paint colors you used on the cabinets. I also had a question about the dimensions of the windows.

I LOVE the floors! Did you use Rubio Monocoat to achieve this look? If so, could you share which colors?

Does this kitchen have a pantry? We are building and in the designing phase, and this kitchen/dining/living is very similar to our layout - but we are having trouble finding space for a good sized pantry IN the kitchen - wondered where it is in this one?

Old Seagrove Homes was created out of a chance meeting one summer night on a roof deck overlooking the beach in 2007. While Alex was already running a construction company, Cynthia had studied fine arts and design. Three children and many projects later, the couple knew that what had started out as a construction company, was quickly growing into something much more. Today, Alex and Cynthia Rice work together as a design team, building inspiring homes from conception to construction and custom finishes. Thanks for following along with us!
