1- Have you seen our newest project? It's located at 46 Azalea Street, less than half a block from the beach and is going to have the most amazing roof top terrace you've ever seen. First of all, it's huge. We'll have sofas and chairs and room for all of your family and friends to gather and watch the sunset. You can see over the trees and cute rooftops all the way to Seaside. We're also beginning to stucco and are about to close in the interior walls. Here's a photo of the exterior, which is about to be white. You can see the brick wall at the corner which encloses a charming courtyard to the entry. We've also decided to bring the painted brick accents to the interior which I think really complements a nice mix of textures and details throughout the house. So far so good! I'll post more as we make progress.
2- Our house is for sale! It's kind of bittersweet for us, I won't lie. We've lived here for the past two years and have had the most amazing time. Our kids are young and this home has been an absolute dream. We've spent our days at the beach, taking Sunday afternoon bike rides on the trails, fishing on the beach and Western Lake and then grilling our catch while the kids swim in the pool. We got a dog and named him Grover after our home here in Seagrove. We've watched movies outside on warm summer nights, gone to the Seaside Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings and spent time at Sundog books. We've taken the golf cart to Bud and Alley's, Borago, Cafe 30A and Surfing Deer just to name a few of our favorite local spots. But even with all of our favorite restaurants, we've actually cooked most of our meals in my dream kitchen which is hands down my favorite spot in the whole house (see below) Take it from me, whoever gets this home will be lucky indeed! And in the mean time, we are looking forward to our next adventure!
3- I mentioned Grover earlier. We are on our way to get the kids from school. He started out as a wee little puppy and now he is sitting taller than me. Did I tell you that he thinks he's a person? #babynumberfour
4- I've been making a LOT of salads lately. Not ordinary garden salads, but real, hearty, full of flavor salads. I actually feel like I'm short changing them by calling them salads because they're SO good, but alas, I guess at the end of the day they are what they are. Here are my recent favorites from the past week.
#1 is Sliced pears cooked in butter served over a mix of butter lettuce, radicchio and shaved brussel sprouts. It is topped with blue cheese, pepitas and classic french vinaigrette.
#2 is Arugula and spinach, topped with miso roasted sweet potatoes, pepitas, red onion and a miso lime vinaigrette.
#3 is Roasted beets, haricots verts, grapefruit sections and feta cheese. It is drizzled with a little olive oil and and a sprinkle of pink himalayan sea salt. Yum!!

5- Did I tell you that we've been BUSY??! Well, to balance my life I like to use the Daily Yoga App . Check it out- great yoga practices for all levels that you can do whenever, wherever, no matter how busy you are. I am not very good but it's one of my favorite parts of the day. The best part about practicing at home is that no one can see me - ha! and sometimes my kids like to practice with me too which is pretty awesome.
